Pat Carroll is a prolific author in the professional literature. She has more than 100 articles indexed in PubMed (the National Library of Medicine Database) and she has been honored with eight national writing awards for work published in Nursing, RN, RT Advance, Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing, and Home Healthcare Nurse.
Pat has also been a guest editor of Hospital Materiel Management Quarterly, to bring the clinical perspective to materiel managers. She served on editorial boards of RN, Nurse Author and Editor, CV Nurse, RT: The Journal for Respiratory Care Practitioners, ADvancing Clinical Care, and Home Healthcare Nurse.
In addition, Pat was selected as a mentor in the AACN Wyeth-Ayerst Nursing Fellows Program, in which she worked with a first-time nurse author to develop an article for publication in the American Journal of Nursing.
